We’re going to the chapel, and we’re gonna get married… That’s the song stuck in our heads before Julie and Gavin’s wedding on private property in Wilyabrup recently.
Celebrant Anita Revel took a walk-through the chapel prior to the ceremony. Here is what she had to say:
The couple’s first date was 9 years ago, at Occy’s in Dunsborough. Gav was late by an hour, but the funny thing was, he brought his overnight bag down from the farm.
Hmmmm, Julie thought: for his first date he was a bit sure of himself haha.
Turned out he needed that bag because they fell for each other straight away — it was very easy.
(He did apologise for it in his vows though, which brought the house down.)
He also promised to build her a loving, full and happy life, but no more chook houses. And Julie promised to always buy more chickens, and needing more cages… So it will be interesting to see how that pans out for them in future 😉
