Drew and Shae enjoyed an Aussie Xmas-themed wedding in Big Love Tiny Chapel at Hay Shed Hill in Margaret River. They decided to share their first Australia Xmas together as an officially married couple, by getting hitched on 21 December 2022 in Big Love the tiny chapel.
Given they didn’t want their family and friends to go to the expense of travelling to Australia for their nuptials, the best way forward was choose a meaningful day, and way, to elope.
They chose a pop-up wedding day at one of Margaret River’s most iconic wineries and lunch venues, Rustico at Hay Shed Hill…
When Celebrant Anita Revel asked how the couple were different, this is what they told her:
Drew is spontaneous and an early-morning person, while Shae is more like an old lawn mower — takes a bit to get her going — but it’s this yin and yang that make them both work.
The couple also enjoyed the presence of a very special witness: Santa Claus himself. Santa minded the couple’s two pups during the ceremony.
Being an elopement, this means more time for photos afterwards. Kendra Benson had time to take them for a short location shoot (pictured above), before the couple settled in at Rustico for their AMAZING degustation lunch to celebrate.
